Re-introduction of the serial markings under the wings

A point of regulation. When the serials were re-introduced under the wings and more specificaltly the 2 TAF. Do we have the exact date?

I don't have a date but photos show Tempests in 2 TAF with underwing serials from early 1946

I've got it earlier than that...July 1945. Paul Lucas in "RAF Fighter 1945-50 UK Based" says AMO A.766 26 July 1945.
