Default Who was Group Captain Ubee?

Any info much appreciated for my research. Dad's wartime diary 1943 just says on August 12, 1943, that Group Captain Ubee crashed a Hudson. Some injuries but no fatalties.

A reference to him here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Allen_Wheeler

Also it would be worth searching the London Gazette for his career, for example see
    https://www.thegazette.co.uk/London/.../3543/data.pdf

In fact if you run a Google search on him his name comes up several times.
