Hello,

16/5/1940
A Coastal Command Anson/500 Sqn observed 7 men and women in a lifeboat rowing towards
England in a position 016° Maaslight 45 miles.


These days Refugees ( illegal immigrants ? ) at least do not have to row across,:)
OR were they survivors from a sunken ship ??

But to be serious.
Is anything known of their fate, did they reach England and if so who were they and what became of them ?

Thought it to be almost impossible to have rowed across. But one man did swim across at some time in WW2.
