    Dave

That’s very late for Lysander Service in UK in fact they were withdrawn from RAF service in 1946

Cannot find 1 1946 Lysander losss in Cummings

Are you sure about date ?

Ps no other loss on that date matches either

Yes I had checked Colin Cummings book Paul. The info came from a Caithness Constabulary message dated 8th March 1943 that "On 7th inst. a Lysander plane on its way from Dalcross,Inverness-shire to Wick aerodrome, crashed crashed on the common pastureland at Berridale. The pilot, a Pole, sustained a scratch on his nose but was otherwise OK. Overturned when landing".

Sorry Paul, slip of the digit. Definitely 7 March 1946.
