    Default W/O W. Malia

    Hello all,

Does anybody know something about this fighter pilot (W/O W. Malia) who served with 91 Sqn in Spring 1943.

    Any details would be welcome.

    Thanks

    Phil,

He may be the same man as the following, who appears in the index to the Oct 1946 AFL:

    174805 Malia, L. T. [released].

No other of this surname in the List.

A check of the service number via the LG search engine might provide further info.

    Default WO Malia

May or may not be your man but the ORB for 137 Sqn records a W/O Malia posted to Sqn from OTU, 10/03/1943. It doesn't explicitly say "for flying duties" but an arrival from OTU would suggest aircrew and the ORB doesn't normally record NCO arrivals other than aircrew. I don't think he is mentioned again in the ORB for the period up to July (which is all I have) so doesn't appear to flown operationally with 137 in that period.
