    Warrant Officer Theodulle Elsi Nicolas DYON (1458451) & Adjut

    350 Sq ORB:
    Operations were just ordering Red Section to Scramble when a Dornier 217 was shot down by the AA section of the RAF Regiment, crashed into the dispersal hut. It completely wrecked the south part of the building killing W/O Dyon, Squadron Enginnering Officer and injuring 2 of the ground personnel.

    Pilot Officer Frederick Henry WALKINSHAW (127488) Wireless Op

    269 Sq ORB:

    Killed in action whilst in aicraft on A/S patrol
    Aircraft "T" - serial not stated
    P/O F. H. Walkinshaw came down from turret and told captain that a Northrop had attacked something behindf them, and seemed to have used DCs. There was then a loud explosions and P/O Walkinshaw collapse being killed instantly by a bullet that entered the astrodome from astern and above, and went out throught the front of the aircraft.
