So why Samofal is still among "unaccounted airmnen"?
To explain - while manually transferring the links from forum posts to the DB, i could only do it for the new version of the forum, and only if it had the word "Unaccounted" in the thread title. So old archive posts made it only if they turned up in google searches. There is a possiblity i may have missed the odd post or two from the new forum as well.

The other member of the crew was pilot porucznik P-0978 Tadeusz Rafał Skierkowski - who seems to me is missing in our casualty DB?
I think we discussed this before - if a body was not recovered then they are not officially part of the CWGC DB - but the seperate Polish Memorial. Only if the bodies are recovered are they in the CWGC (And ours) DB.
(I know it sounds wrong to do so in the first place - CWGC should answer that - to set things right but if someone has a Polish Memorial DB in a usable excel format, i am more than willing to transfer it and merge it here - that way complete crews can be commemorated here. )

    Hi Jagan,

thank you very much! Well done!
OK I will keep in mind and I will post also liks to the archived threads when found.
As for the Polish Memorial DB - I think we should contact https://www.polishairforcememorialco....org/form__map if no of our Polish friends would be able to help.

Anyway I am going to check the list if I have missed some.

    Hello

I see Warrant Officer Class II Gordon Mcleod DUNN (R/70907) is still on the 'unaccounted' list. His R.C.A.F. Service File records that he was attached Harwell pending posting, and missing, presumed killed in transit Gibraltar, 13/12.

Others named in the missing crew are Foster, Dunn and Thomas, so Wellington HX681 mentioned by Pavel here:

    Thanks Pavel

The official statistics for Polish airmen lost under British command reveal 1234 killed in action, 104 missing in action, now assumed killed in action, 394 killed training in operational units and 199 killed training in non-operational units, making a combined overall total of 1931.

CWGC has 1462.. so just about 470 records that are not part of this database.

Thanks Jagan, not so bad. I think some of them would be found and added while processing others and we can left the rest when we will finished all years.
Thank to you all for processing all posts up to date and to Simon for adding more info. We have decreased the European theatre by nearly 100 in just few days!
