I am going to retire this thread on 31st March and move onto thenext one - 1943.

As of now 1701 are unaccounted - under 8%.. All AIR81 records have been transcribed against the 1942 deaths.

Hi all, some bits and pieces:

Flight Sergeant Stanley Walter CRADDUCK (754585) Pilot

10 OTU according to the https://losses.internationalbcc.co.uk/loss/105142

    ---

Flight Sergeant Francis Frank GARRITY (627050)

was Canadian with the RAF and awarded the DFM:

GARRITY, FRANCIS FRANK FS(AG) 627050 D.F.M. – Royal Air Force. From Fort Henry, Ontario. Killed in Action Jan 9/42 age 23. #206 Squadron (Nihil Nos Effugit). Sunderland aircraft failed to return from operations. Flight Sergeant Air Gunner Garrity has no known grave, his name is inscribed on the Runnymede War Memorial, Englefield Green, Egham, Surrey, England.

    https://rcafassociation.ca/heritage/...-to-gloeckler/

The problem is that 206 Sq had Hudsons not Sunderlands at the time and I am not able to find any loss on this day...
