Some more info in the others in their resepective R.C.A.F. Service Files. Here are the first few:

Aircraftman 1st Class George Ludwig AUSTIN (R/61410) - his R.C.A.F. Service File record that he was discharged as medically unfit on August 31st 1941. His address on discharge is given as Ottawa Civic Hospital and Parkbeg, Saskatoon. Recorded in the pdf file as 'died in Canada.'

Aircraftman 2nd ClassDonald Muirhead TAYLOR (R/151572) - his R.C.A.F. Service File records death due to suicide while training at Williams Lake. He was found with a self-inflicted gunshot wound at Cotton's Meadow near Williams Lake at 9.35 p.m. The Coroner's report records "that at the time of his death the aforesaid Donald Muirhead Talyot was temporarily of an unsound state of mind."

Roy Barrington KEEDWELL (J/152217) - the pdf file records that he died of his injuries in hospital in Java, but queries the date. His R.C.A.F. Service File recroda that he was shot through the leg while engaging Japanese fighters near Palembang on February 6th 1942. He landed safley, but as he taxied his ircraft, another machine on the ground exploded, enveloping Keedwell's aircraft which immediately caught fire. He was extracted from the burning aicraft, having being badly burned, and died in hospital in Palembang on February 11th.

William Miller HATFIELD (R/92766) - his R.C.A.F. Service File records him as being killed in Hudson 776 MX-T of 115 (BR) Sqn, stalled on overshoot at Shoal Harbour, B.C. while attempting a go around with full flaps. Their bodies were later recovered from the water.

George Gordon McNEILL (R/92500) - his R.C.A.F. Service File records that he died at Suaghnessy Military Hospital, Jericho Beach, B.C. while on embarkation leave, due to a brain abscess.

At 11.15 AM 18.9.42 information was received from Mrs. Martin McAndrews 1214 - 10th Avenue North, City, that one Thomas Edward Smith was lying dead in her dining room at the abova address. A .22 calibre rifle was beside the body. ... the coroner expressed the opinion that Smith had committed suicide in a fit of depression a that it was evident he was not well mentally.

24.6.41 retired on medical grounds
30.7.42 He died in Stratroy Hospital - Uremia, hypertension, chronic nephritis without edema and bronchial pneumonia - resulting in death - not attributable to service

W rejonie Dalcross Castle podczas lotu ćwiczebnego na strzelanie zderzył się z innym Defiantem, prawdopodobnie wskutek oślepienia pilota przez słońce przy wychodzeniu z zakrętu. Zginął plut. Legarski oraz uczniowie z obu samolotów LAC Crough i Cpl Smith z RAF. Skokiem ze spadochronem uratował się pilot drugiego Defianta Sgt Link.
