KING, Albert Henry Sheddon – AC2 – 842347 - He was serving with No 904 Sqn, when he was knocked down and killed by a lorry whilst standing in London Road, Mitcham, apparently undecided which was the kerb and which the white line.

SCOTT, John – P/O – 90612 – RAF (AAF) – 608 Sqn - the Northern Daily Mail [the Hartlepool Mail] of Ocotber 7th 1939 reported that he was killed in a motorcycle accident near Yarm. His body was found at 5.25 a.m. at Maltby Lane ends. It was thought he had skidded on a wet road, and a verdict of Accidental death was returned by the jury at the inquest into his death.
