Oxford P1828 USLN at Barkston on this day. Depending on exactly where the a/c came down any fatalities would be recorded at either Sleaford or Grantham.

    Hello

AC2 Harold MAJOR - 1052363 - the National Probate Calendar records that he died at Stamford Infirmary.

LAC Leslie J. PRIOR - 630635 - the Bath Chronicle of March 29th 1941 reported the following:

BATH AIRMAN'S DEATH IN PLYMOUTH RAID
The many friends of L.A.C. Leslie James Prior, R.A.F., of 3, King Edward Cottages, West Twerton, Bath, will learn with regret of his death by enemy action at Plymouth on Sunday morning. He was injured by a bomb in the raid on Friday night when walking with a friend, and his injuries proved fatal.
Educated at Twerton Parochial and West Twerton Schools, Mr. Prior went to work at the Bath Artcraft Works. He had been in the R.A.F. for two years.

    Regards

    Simon
