    SEYDEL, Kurt – GAF.

    https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/...44/kurt-seydel

An Unteroffizier and Bordmechaniker [Flight Engineer] of 2 Staffel Kόstenfliegergruppe 606, he was killed during a reconnaissance mission to the Firth of Forth when his aircraft (Do18D; Wn.809; 8L+DK), was attacked by fighters, the pilot subsequently managing to make a forced landing at sea.

However, note that some sources state that Unteroffizier Seydel was a crew member of the same aircraft as Gefreiter August Schleicher and was shot down on 16 October 1939 during a mission to the Firth of Forth.

    SCHLEICHER, August – GAF.

A Gefreiter and Bordschόtze [Air Gunner] of 2 Staffel Kampfgeschwader 40 who was killed during a mission to attack the Firth of Forth when his aircraft (Ju88A-1; 4D+AK) was damaged by anti-aircraft fire and then shot down by fighters into the sea off the coast by Crail, Fifeness, Scotland.
