Default Identity of S/Ldr A. H. Foord, HQ No. 93 Group, summer 1944

    Hi all,

I have an Court of Inquiry report for July 1944 which was prepared by S/Ldr A. H. Foord and it is stated he belonged to HQ No. 93 Group.
I am interested if this officer may be Anthony Herbert Foord (60790) who was an instructor with 311 Sq at the early stage of WWII?
According to the LG 8.6.1944 Anthony Herbert Foord (60790) was A/S/Ldr - so he may fit.

Any additional confirmation will be much appreciated

    TIA

    Hi Pavel,

915323 LAC Anthony Herbert Foord (60790) was commissioned Pilot Officer on Probation wef. 18 January 1941.

I don't know how that ties in with "early stage of WWII"

    Regards,

    Dave

Hi Dave, thx. This officer was with 311 Sq in period from autumn 1941 to spring 1942 so yes it fits with the stay of 311 Sq but I need to confirm his service with 93 Gp in 1944
