    Default POW Camp

    Hi all could a kind soul please confirm or tell me otherwise the POW camp that this RAF NCO was sent to after Dulag Luft in July 1944.

    Patrick West RAF No 957498

    POW number 258

    Camp is listed as Kfg.Lag.d.Lw.7 is this Stalug Luft 7 that was located in Bankau, Silesia, Germany (now Bąków, Opole Voivodeship, Poland )

    Hi Gary,

    Yes, Sgt West was sent to Luft 7. He later did the walk from Bankau to Luckenwalde.

    I did a bio on him but could never find him post-war.

    Hi Dave ... many thanks for the info and good to see that you are still researching 101 crews :)

    If I can have a new email contact address that would be great (I will use my work one so spam free lol)

    I have Pat West's POW card with a photo still attached will send you a scan if you wanted to add it to the bio of the crew.

    Interestingly I visited an ex 101 W/Op after the Association AGM back in September who flew SR - X2 for most of his tour of Ops finishing on D-Day.
