    Default 2nd Lt Osborne Orr, 152219, missing 1918 10 23 204 SQDN RAF

I have this man's service record from the National Archives, but I am having trouble interpreting the hand written entries. There is a problem with the handwriting itself, but mostly I am unfamiliar with the abbreviations used.

If you can help I would be happy to send a copy of the service record by email or other way.

Being new to this forum, I am not sure if I can do that through this posting.

I edit the magazine of the Vancouver Island Military Museum and we are trying to sort out the record of this man who was born in Nanaimo, British Columbia.

Unable to attach or upload a photo of page from Service Record. The Service Record lists, in handwritten abbreviations, the units Orr was posted to and from, and gives dates. The dates are generally clear, so here are the abbreviations (in bold) I need to decipher:

(Out Going Authority) 13 GO (guessing at G)

(Unit to which) 45 FS (or LS or HS??) (Flight School?)

(Outgoing Authority) N.W. Area (guessing at N)

(Unit to Which) 1 Fghtng Sch (Seems easy - fighting school?)

(Unit to which) A.M. for o/seas S.E. Area for 61st Wing (or 51st Wing?)

    (Outgoing authority) P.H.101 (or P.L. 101)

    (Outgoing Authority) P.D. 139
