He like many many more are discussed in the unaccounted threads.

The key info there is the registration district and his having status Died on active service.

Further replies would be useful if posted on the above thread.

His death certificate and maybe the ORB and then newspaper reports/obituaries.

Hello Dennis, yes I saw that old thread. An Airdrie newspaper just says he was killed in an accident. He was a long serving airman having been in the RAF for 7 years. Originally a W/Op & AG then remustered and went to Canada to train as a pilot. He was Mentioned in Dispatches on 11/6/1942.

    Hi

He was serving with No 12 (P) AFU and was killed in a road accident on the perimeter track at RAF Grantham, but no further details have come to light so far.

Thanks Malcolm, now I know it wasn`t an aircraft it`ll save some time. 12 (P) AFU ORB would probably have a little more, or is that where you found it was a road accident?

Thanks Malcolm, if you have the 12 (P) AFU ORB, do any of the previous pages mention any of his flights? Or even the aircraft type he flew?

    Hi Dave

The ORB, or at least the sections I have, doesn't give individual flight details.
