Default RAF Station Dyce ORB March 1944

Hi all, with the TNA closed may I ask if anybody has photographed records for March 1944 of AIR 28/235, RAF Station Dyce ORB, 1939 Oct.-1945 Dec. during previous visits?

    TIA

    Hi Pavel

I don't have the Dyce ORB for Mar'44 but I do have the 8(C)OTU ORB for that time frame who were stationed there.

Is there something I can look up to see if mentioned?

    Kind regards
    Pierre

Hi Pierre, thank you for your reply. I was going to try the 8 OTU as the second option if this will fail:)
I am interested if the RAF Station Dyce/8 OTU was visited by Air Commodore Boothman after 10.3.1944 and if yes I am after any details about this visit.

    TIA

    Hi Pavel

I cannot see any mention of him visiting Dyce during Mar'44 but I did note a changeover in Chief Flying Instructors on 13Mar'44 so whether he may have been present given his involvement with 106 (PR) Wing I cannot confirm. Whilst checking 106 (PR) Wing ORB I did not that on the 15Mar'44 he was flight testing the DH.100 for its suitability in the PR role and presume this either took place at RAF Benson or nearby at A&AEE where he became Commandant soon after.

    Kind regards
    Pierre

Pierre thank you for you effort. So I have to wait till TNA will be opened again and make another try with RAF Station Dyce ORB.
