    Default No.3 (C) OTU, RAF Haverfordwest (WIthybush), Sep-Nov 1943

    I would be grateful if anyone can share insights on losses and activities at No.3 (C) OTU, during 20 September - 10 December 1943.

    In fact, if anyone can share relevant pages from the ORB, this would be perfect!

    Hello,

    Here is one 3(C)OTU loss:

    20-11-1943
    No.3(C)OTU
    Wellington VIII (TB) LB185

    Took off 2010 to carry out a non-operational night exercise No.3. Six signals were received from the aircraft then at 0133 on 20th November, the aircraft sent an ex Funsted and asked for a QDM. Nothing further was heard from the aircraft and it failed to return to base.

    The aircraft flew into a mountain in cloud 1m N of Trawsfynydd, Merioneth.
