    Default Is this person the most "Mentioned in Despatches" ever?

    One of the benefits of putting data in a database is it allows me to run queries in the background. In the current state of the DB which is missing the OBE/MBE/MBE Series and maybe 25% of the MiDs , i ran a query to see who had the most number of awards - regardless of the importance or precedence.. one thing that stood out was

    Wow, what did he do? (or did not do to - for not earning any gong ever!.. he did appear to have been made a MVO in later years (1947) ... the last held rank was Sqn Ldr in RAFO
