    Default Jeremiah Joseph Mehigan, 182787. No 428 RSU. +March 7th, 1947

    Hello everyone,
F/Lt Jeremiah Joseph Mehigan, #182787, navigator RAF. Son of Cornelius and Agnes Mehigan; husband of Audrey Joyce Mehigan, of Kingsbury, Middlesex. Date of death March 7th, 1947. Age 31.

At the time of death, I believe he was serving in No. 428 RSU, stationed outside of Paris in Buc, France. He passed away in a “British Military Hospital” in Paris, and is buried in Clichy Northern Cemetery, Hauts-de-Seine, France, plot 16, row 8, grave 18.

Does anyone perhaps know the cause of death?

    Thank you,
    Mieszko

    Gentlemen,
Thank you for your replies. Jeremiah Joseph Mehigan was a navigator who was paired up with a G. Suckling (RNZAF). They flew together in No. 305 (Polish) Squadron, and then moved on to No. 487 (NZ) Squadron. The bit with 305 Squadron is why he is of interest to me. I tried to make contact with Mehigan’s grandson, but with no luck. Those who have wild wallabies outside their window and watch too much tv, may know who I’m talking about. Anyway, I would guess that No. 428 RSU’s ORB might have what I’m looking for. But alas, KEW is closed for the time being.
    Thanks once again,
    Mieszko
