    Default Squadron Code Letters

Has anyone got a date for when the Squadron Code Letters on Bomber Command aircraft were changed from Grey Paint to Dull Red Paint. I think it may have been July 1942, but just wanted confirmation

    Regards

    Pete,

Think you will find the answer here: https://www.rafweb.org/Squadrons/Sqn.../sqn_codes.htm

First - and only - ref to Dull Red codes appears in the AMO dated July 2, 1942.
