    Szeregowiec Ludwik BARAN (P/783720) - the Polish Heritage Society records that he died at Stanfield Sanatorium, Stoke-on-Trent.

    Sierzant Henryk Andrzej FLEGIER (P/780038) - the Polish Heritage Society records that he was killed in Spitfire BL922.

    Kapral Stefan WOJTKOWAIK (P/784210) - the Polish Heritage Society records that he died at No. 4 Polish Military Hospital, Palestine. No further details.

    Pulkownik Waldyslaw Eugeniusz HELLER (P/0989) - the Polish Heritage Society records that he was killed in Anson N5372.

    Kapral Stefan DOBROWOLSKI (P/709878) - the Polish Heritage Society records that he died of injuries a few hours after his bicycle was hit by a truck.

    Porucznik Janusz ZBYSZYNSKI (P/0157) - the Polish Heritage Society records that he was killed in Liberator BZ891.

    One more of the Poles:

    Kapral Jozef KOPKA (P/792991) - the Biggeswade Chronicle of July 23rd 1943 reported the inquest into his death. It recorded that he died from a fractured skull after he fell from his bicycle at around 23.45 on July 11th. He was admitted unconscious to hospital [at Henlow] at 02.00 hours on July 12th and died at 03.25. He was born at Leczyca, Poland, and had been in the UK since August 1940.

    Sergeant Vliegtuigmaker Johan Karel Frederik KEUKER - he died whilst a prisoner of the Japanese, and he's commemorated on the Burma-Siam & Pakan Baroe Railway monument.

    2e Luitenant Vlieger Leendert Adriaan ZOETEMEIJER - he also died whilst a prisoner of the Japanese.

    Moving on to some of the SEAC casualties:

    Leading Aircraftman John Baird McLEOD (1366156) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 8th 1942.

    Leading Aircraftman Geoffrey Meallin BYNG (574149) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he drowned at 116 30' E 6 20' S on November 29th 1943 (not February 1st 1943) whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. That date matches the sinking of the prisoner ship Suez Maru by the U.S.S. Bonefish.

    Aircraftman 1st Class James Bradshaw BOOTH (987409) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had also been captured on March 8th 1942.

    Corporal William Leslie WRIGHT (991919) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died on August 26th (not March 26th) 1943 of Beri Beri whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese, and was buried in Grave 40 at the Camp Cemetery, Hintok River, Thailand.

    Corporal Owen Frank SMART (534719) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died of Bacillic Dysentery whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese.

    Aircraftman 1st Class Sidney SMITH (1159728) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 8th 1942.

    Aircraftman 2nd Class Thomas Daine SMITH (1349504) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 8th 1942.

    Leading Aircraftman Alan Vernon HARDING (1530954) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 20th 1942.

    Aircraftman 1st Class George Cyril GREEN (1274844) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 17th 1942.

    Aircraftman 1st Class William James DE GARIS (1164152) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died of Bacillic Dysentery whilst being held as a P.o.W by the Japanese.

    Leading Aircraftman Reginald Alfred CHARLOTTES (1204036) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 17th 1942. WO 361 records that he died at 30 Kilo Camp and cause of death was Bacillic Dysentery.

    Aircraftman 2nd Class Robert Crosbie McLELLAN (1367192) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 8th 1942.

    Leading Aircraftman George Andrew WILES (976969) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 8th 1942. WO 361 records that he died at Hintok Valley due to Cholera.

    Aircraftman 2nd Class Gerald SMITH (1071456) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 8th 1942. WO 361 records that he died at Hintok River Camp due to cholera.

    Corporal Norman Frederick HART (521107) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died of Dysentery whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese at 30 Kilo Camp.

    Warrant Officer Walter John WORTH (335324) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died of Cholera whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese at Hintok River Camp.

    Aircraftman 1st Class John Mcleod URIE (1024473) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died of Dysentery whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese at Hintok River Camp.

    Aircraftman 1st Class William Erwin ROWAN (993604) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died of Beri-Beri whilst being held as a P.o.W. by the Japanese at Hintok River Camp.

    Leading Aircraftman Thomas Henry BOWLES (641958) - WO 361 on Fold3.com records that he died of Colitis whilst being held as a P.o.W.

    Aircraftman 1st Class Henry Ernest WARNE (907872) - WO 392 on Fold3.com records that he died whilst being held as a P.o.W by the Japanese. He had been captured on March 8th 1942.
