    Default No 122 Wing - 3 May 1945

    Hi

Does anyone have the ORB for No 122 Wing for May 1945?

    Hello Malcolm,

I see nobody answers. I have copied the Wing ORB at TNA and indeed it stops at the end of April 1945, otherwise I would have copied May 1945 for sure, and probably the following month. As you may know, French pilot and ace Pierre Clostermann flew in that Wing at that time, and details from a first hand source would be welcome, in this subject.

I'd like to know if another forum member has seen / copied this "missing" month of ORB ?

    Regards

    Joss

    Hi Joss

Thanks, that explains why the copy I was given ends in April.

It was an operation on 3 May involving Pierre Clostermann that I was interested in

    Hello Malcolm

The Grossenbrode naval air station attack ? If so, e-mail me so I can send you a recent piece about that (but in French)

I think the 2nd TAF daily log might help in this subject, if there's no Wing ORB for May 1945.

Unfortunately I haven't accessed these 1945 volumes, I concentrated in the period January to 2nd October 1944. I need to copy in full the 1943 volume.

Am I dreaming? I feel certain that one of the French magazines has published a fairly detailed study of Clostermann's wartime record based on new documents released by his family. I've been searching but I can't find confirmation...
