Default RAF attached to USAAC 344 H.B Sqn St. Jeanne Palestine

Hi, 1st time posting - seeking identification help.

My late father-in-law left behnd a pocket book of photographs of his 1942/3 service. This is inscribed
AES Christian (- assuming he was an Aircraftman, AES are his first names.)
    RAF C/O USAAC 344 H.B. Sqn
    St. Jeanne Palestine

The photos show him in Cairo (Kubri Camp), Jordan, Palestine and also reference the TJFF - the Trans Jordan Field Force - Zerka?
His trade was a signaller - "fist and sparks" - is shown on his uniform.
I am just about to apply for his service records, but understand they will take several months to arrive, so any assistance would be most appreciated in identifying the role he was conducting with the USAAC - have not yet located ths Sqn by google research!

    Thanks!

    Gonker44, Hi,

    Winifred May Bayley
    e. Enlisted 2157714 in Block 2100000-2199999 WAAF Issued from 1 Aug 42. TNA AIR 78/12/1 Image 13 R1C2.

    Note:-
1 You would have to get her Service Record to see, from the Postings, where she and A E S Christian co-incided!
2 I wish I could tell you that hunting information from 70+ years ago is a science! But for me it’s more of an art. There are several on-line, Public Domain, databases – FREEBMD, Find-My-Past (subscription), London Gazette, The National Archives, Air Force Lists, CWGC, etc, etc. Some are easier to use than others. Some are better than others for some things. If you imagine them all linked in a sort of circle, you go in with what info you have. Depends which way you go, but one small snippet of info leads to something else, and so on. And then, when you’ve finished, you go back and do it again from the other end just to check (and check, and check!!).
3 The camp in the Canal Zone is probably Kabrit (GE 30.242455 32.495080) ?

It certainly had multiple extremely rude names when I was there in the early 1950's!! But this is a family show!!
