Default Bomb Aimer Target Maps 44/45

    Hello,

Within my Dadís personal notebook he kept newspaper clippings and a number of target maps from various Ops.

I am however missing the following target maps and wonder if anyone would have scans of the missing ones as follows:

    Kleve 7 Oct 44
    Bochum 9 Oct 44
    Duisburg 14 and 15 Oct 44
    Julich 16 Nov 44
    Munster 18 Nov 44
    Sterkrade 21 Nov 44
    Hagen 2 Dec 44
    Essen-Mulheim 24 Dec 44
    St Vith 26 Dec 44
    Coblenz 29 Dec 44
    Dulmen 14 Jan 45
    Wannie-Eickle 2 Feb 45
    Bohlem 13 Feb 45
    Kamen 24 Feb 45
    Wuppertal 13 Mar 45
    Osnabruck 25 Mar 45

I have the following if anyone is interested:

    Gelsenkirchen 6 Nov 44 and 22 Jan 45
    Koln 20 Dec 44
    Bonn 4 Feb 45
    Mainz 28 Feb 45
    Hamburg 8 Mar 45

    Thank you.

Very interesting! We just had a discussion earlier about pilots maps. My father was operational at the same time as your father. Dad was a pilot with 419. He was operational to Bochum on Oct 9, both trips to Duisburg on Oct 14, Gelsenkirchen on Nov 6, Munster on Nov 18, Hagen Dec 2 cologne Dec 20 (AOET), and Mainz Feb 28/45.

I’d be interested in seeing what you have for Gelsenkirchen Nov 6 and Cologne Dec 20 and Mainz Feb 28. I’ve not seen B/A target maps so would be interested I seeing these.

Incidentally, I have all dad’s routes on google maps and could provide Kml’s of these to you, if you wish.

Gents, These maps are also called H2S Target maps. Also I have two original copies of the same type of maps, but they are for use against the V1 sites in France, and are titled NOBALL AREA MAPS. Their scale is 1:63,360 and they have concentric circles 1 mile apart. These circle markings also appear on a target map for Munich, of which I have a copy. Regards, Terry
