Default How to use the forum search

Failed spectacularly to work out how to use the search, even to find help on searching with the search!

How do I search for multiple terms (and include all terms in a post/thread/whatever) + - & or and or wtf?

    Please be kind, I'm thick.

I struggle with the search on here, so I tend to use a Google search, keying in the search term followed by site:rafcommands.com ..... works a treat for me, but obviously there may be other (better) ways

As an example, if I enter 35 Squadron site:rafcommands.com ... I get over 5000 results and can scroll through looking for what I need

    Main areas of research:

    - CA Butler and the loss of Lancaster ME334 (http://rafww2butler.wordpress.com/ )
    - Aircrew Training (Basic / Trade / Operational / Continuation / Conversion)
    - The History of No. 35 Squadron (1916 - 1982) (https://35squadron.wordpress.com/)

[Always looking for copies of original documents / photographs etc relating to these subjects]

    Three options.

Forum Search through http://www.rafcommands.com/forum/search.php (Also the search box on top right of the forum page). It works fine, without any issues.
Google Custom Search on top of every forum page (its just right of the RAFCommands Logo). This searches the forum and the complete site - but may not appear in "Mobile View"
Site search by going to www.google.com and appending "site:www.rafcommands.com Keyword"

Thanks, I can get the multiple term searches to work via Google, but not on the site search.

Do you know what the syntax is?
