    Default Air Force Lists 1970s

Hi all, I would like to ask if anybody has acccess to Air Force List from the 1970s while TNA is closed?
I am interested if anyone can check for my one officer I believe who was placed on retired list in January 1970.

    TIA

If nobody has the AFL's Can you not find him by doing a google search Pavel?
I know it is a little hit and miss but I usually search in the format...

    'A.N. Other RAF Gazette'

If that does not work I vary the search term and try full first names and sometimes dropping the 'RAF' or dropping 'Gazette'

If a wartime officer occasionally the unithistories.com website will ID an officer (sections for RAF and RAFVR,as well as army and RN)

    For example RAFVR = https://www.unithistories.com/office...icers_M01.html

    Hi Baz,

thank you for your suggestions. I have tried to find him already several times by Mr. Google and also in the LG knowing his full name and also service number but he does not come up.
Possibly because he was one of those of Czech orgin? But there other Czechs are recorded there when retired...

The records in AIR 79 usually contain the following information:

    date and place of birth
    physical description
    religious denomination
    next of kin
    spouse and children
    date of joining
    promotions
    units served in
