Default Pilot Officers Harris and Adamson 277 Squadron - First Names Required

On 19th August 1942, Pilot Officer R.R.F Harris ( pilot ) and Pilot Officer J.H.Adamson ( air gunner ), flying Defiant AA312 of 277 Squadron and were engaged by a Me 109, claiming it as damaged.

Can anyone provide me with the first names of these two airmen please?

    Many thanks,

    Andy

    Hello,

All of the following needs confirmation. Connections etc:

46970 P/O Richard Frederick Francis HARRIS RAF

    Cashiered later on:

Others may wish to present the lengthy list of Harris' LG entries - feel free.

    and ...

114140 P/O James Dunsmore ADAMSON* RAFVR (later DFC, MID - DFC -210 Sqn - LG. 10/9/1943)

    * From, To The Ends Of The Earth 210 Squadron's Catalina Years, Mike Seymour & Bill Balderson, Paterchurch Publications, 1999 (p.64) - Air Gunner F/O JD Adamson, already a holder of a medal from the Royal Humane Society and a Police Gallantry Medal, was also recommended for a DFC

    Hello,

The same photograph appears in Norman Frank's, Another Kind Of Courage,P.S.L.,1994 (p.102) - with a different caption:

Below. A gaggle of 277 Sqn: Bob Holland, Tom Fletcher, 'Dek' Dekyvere, R.F.F. Harris, Norm Peat RCAF, F.D. Hubbard and Johnny Barber. Peat would go missing with 283 Sqn in the Mediterranean in May 1943 (Source: L.Healey).
