Tom,
The TNA has been cutting out at midnight here in OZ for the last two nights. No warning, I think it's them tinkering with the new site.

As everyone knows, they have announced 'limited' re-opening for the 21st July, and maybe a lot of people are trying to panic search/download all the free stuff before it ends, maybe overwhelming their server. Just a thought.

Seems to be woking okay this morning - I can actually log in for first time in a few days, and managed to download some items.

Joss, I can only but admire your courage and tenacity, all those hours of travel, and expense, for a few hours at TNA. I hope the end goal is worth it.
Andrew
Also looking forward to hearing the experiences from visits after the reopening. Just as Joss, I am traveling to London (from Copenhagen, Denmark) to vitas. My regular tours are over three days; flying in and going directly to Kew on day one, a full day 2 and traveling directly to the airport on day 3. For this to be worth the effort I have to be able to process large amounts of documents and using all hours of the opening time and always keeping the flow of orders at the maximum level.

Hi all, I am also inquisitive to hear the experience as similarly as Mikkel I am doing few days trip exactly the same way in combination with another archives like RAF Museum Hendon. But my personal opinion is that the present situation and regime in TNA is not worthwhile for us abroad. I have seen that even local paid researchers stopped providing their services as the actual regime is not profitable for them.

Tom,
Yup thista. Desktop W10. MS Edge. Suspect their servers are running at 99.9%. Occasionally they go to 100.1% - which is when you can't get 'em!

We might not know - but we might know who does!
Looks like they're having a re-design, or a tweaking at least. It's been a bit hit and miss for a few days now.
When I can actually get it to work, I can't log in to my account, so no freebies for me at the moment...
Regards
Simon
