    Chas,

    Thanks for the input. It is believed that the crew bailed successfully. One was taken PoW and the other, I am not entirely sure.

    Hello

    Another source worthwhile checking would be the two volumes of Gunby & Temple "Bomber Command Losses in the Mediterannean", but most probably volume 2. It's mostly to be in it, unless it's a Coastal Command type (like a Beaufort or Beaufighter) but unlikely according to the meagre information given here.

    I'm not expecting to find much more at the moment. The Sardinian fellow has said that he will consider telling me more if I buy some of his militaria. Sadly, I am not in such a comfortable financial state for purchases so I am unable to procure more information on the incident. I shall update this thread when I do so in the future.
