Default 83 Sqdn records May 1944

Please can anybody with a copy of the 83 Sqdn monthly appendix May 1944 advise if it records the arrival of the crew of John Nall from 630 Sqdn. I am keen to get the service numbers of his rear gunner Sgt C Winter, wireless op F/Sgt R Lorimer and flight engineer Sgt J Harrison. The crew joined 630 Sqdn in a period when names were not recorded in the Appendix and for some reason these lads postings to 83 Sqdn are missing from the records of 630 in May 1944.
    thanks for any help PeteS

    Pete,

The 83 Sqn ORB for May '44 states the following:

    910154 Sgt Winter, A.G.
    1683122 Sgt Harrison, F.Eng.
Aus 425320 Flt Sgt Lorimer, W/Op.

Along with A/Flt J. B. Nall, they were posted in from 630 Sqn wef 21 May '44. No initials listed for the NCOs.

I have double checked the 83 Sqn ORB, and I have correctly transcribed the service number listed there. Probably a typo on the ORB.

A particular vote of thanks Jonny/Col for the Lorimer info, we had believed that he was an RAFVR member of aircrew but we can now revise our breakdown to show another Aussie.
