    Default Aircrew Officer School 1943

It seems my Dad's Navigator attended something called A.C.O.S or Aircrew Officer School directly from the P.R.C. in Bournemouth in the summer of 1943. He was there for just under a month and then went on to Air Observer School on the Isle of Mann.
Can anyone tell me anything about A.C.O.S. ? I can't seem to find anything in my books or online....
I am curious about what they learned, who and why certain airmen were chosen to attend etc.
    Many thanks in advance,
    Clint

    Hi Clint,

Appears to have been at RAF Sidmouth in 1943. http://discovery.nationalarchives.go...ils/r/C7161173

Footnote at bottom of page explains: https://books.google.ca/books?id=k_V...201943&f=false

    Cheers,

    Dave

Many thanks Dave...good starting point for me!
Perhaps a small correction? Did you mean "Sidmouth"?
    Cheers, Clint
