    Percy Beechfield CARVER was a warrant officer who I can find not record of being commissioned.

    Chris, our man would P.B.Carter not Carver. Carver was a W/O on my eliminated list.

    Peter Bonham CLAY was born in Derbyshire, married in Selby Yorkshire, died in the USA

    Philip Barber Clay was a Yorkshireman born in Halifax and died in Harrogate

    Very interesting. So far, Philip Barber Clay is the closest to Leeds...
    I will have to try to establish contact with Clay's family members. I believe he was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross as well.
    But his logbook signatures don't match the handwriting but I'll still give it a go.

    This is not how I expected things to be!

    Thank you so much. Very much appreciated! Have you gotten anything on P.B.Carter (3983)?
    He was mentioned in despatches in the 1946 New Year Honours list as a Section Officer. That's about all I found.

    EDIT: Thanks for the letting me know about Carter.

    Chris, any ideas who P.B.C. might be?
