Hello All,
I am quietly working my way through a large list of PoWs. The end result (with others) is to reconcile/resolve several (sometimes conflicting!) lists. It currently has 13.5 k Rows! One of the Cols is for ‘Force’. Within this there are: FFAF, FFAL, FFEF, FFEL. I presume these are the initials (both in French and English) of what was the Free French Air Force in WW2? Which would be the best, singular, one to use?
And while we are at it, what was the (rough!) equivalent rank of a French aircrew Adjutant? And what were the Forenames of Adj R A Jabin (taken PoW by the Italians), and did he have a service number – and in what series?
TIA
Peter Davies
