F/Sgt R Glazier 1382882 RAF (VR) 228 Squadron Jun 1943 to Jan 1944

Dear All

Can anyone assist with the identity of this airmen. He was aircrew on Sunderlands with 228 Squadron fist appearing in the ORB in June 1943 through to January 1944.
He was a member of the crew that sank U-383 on the 1st August 1943.

I cannot locate an AIR 78 card. plus not trace LG and CWGC.

Not much help, I’m afraid!
1382882 is in the Block 1375001-1400000 RAFVR issued at Euston between 1 Aug 1940 and 30 Nov 1941. If issued regularly 1382882 would have been issued around early Jan 1941.
Assuming yr man Enlisted when he was 18 would put his birth year as 1923. The only “R Glazier” I can find in FBMD that might fit (using just the single forename) is:
Ronald Glazier. B. Reg Q1 1922 Sevenoaks 2a 1475 (MMS Avis) .

I can rule out Ronald b.1922 He was a Gunner in the Royal Artillery service number 924004
