Default 10 S.F.T.S. Dauphin, Manitoba Course 79 Wings graduates

I am in possession of the original menu for the Wings Banquet held on 4th August 1943 for Course 79. There is a list of 37 graduates that as a little 'side-project' I have attempted to identify. I am posting the details on here in the hope the few gaps I have could be filled but also as a future resource for those researching relatives etc.
The Course ran from 19th April 1943 to 6th August 1943. The ORB records for the 6th August
"At 1530 hours the Wings presentation ceremony was held for the graduates of Course 79. W/C C.F. NEWCOMBE [Clair Fraser NEWCOMBE C875 RCAF] presented wings to the graduates.
The original intake was 60. During training one, F/O J.R. Munn (C8875) [F/O James Roy MUNN C8876 RCAF] was killed in a flying accident on June 11. Twenty-three ceased training and the remainder namely 37 were successful. Of the 23 who ceased training 5 were RAF, 1 was RNZAF and 16 were RCAF… Sixteen RCAF and one RAF were granted commissions. Flying Officer L.R. Agnew (J10710) stood first in the class.
One graduate was posted to the Central Navigation School at Rivers, Man., four went to No.2 A.O.S. at Edmonton, six were sent to No. 1 G.R.S, Summerside, P.E.I. [Prince Edward Island] and two RAF went to No. 31 G.R.S., Charlottetown, P.E.I. There were six who were granted commissions posted to F.I.S. at Pearce, Alta. And four others, including F/O Illingworth, E.C.N. (C11208) [Edward Charles Hume ILLINGWORTH C11208 RCAF, already a pilot so presumably staff] went to No. 3 F.I.S. Arnprior, Ont. Five RAF Sergeants proceeded to No. 31 P.D. Moncton, N.B. The remainder, nine RCAF were posted to ‘Y’ Depot, Halifax."

I think I have identified the sixteen RCAF who were commissioned on graduation. I have not identified the RAF man commissioned on graduation. There should be according to the ORB at least seven RAF. I am certain about the two posted to No 31GRS Charlottetown. This means it is likely that most of the unidentified are RAF. Any corrections or further information would be appreciated.

    Gentlemen

    Thank you very much

I should have found McDiarmid myself but for the awful search engine on the Canada Gazette. His Paradie RCAF database also incorrectly shows him with the initials I.A.F. which I missed.

I am almost certain that H B Courtemanche is Hugh Basil Courtemanche. There is an electoral roll from 1953 that shows a Mr and Mrs Hugh Courtemanche living in Arthur Rd, City of Windsor, Ontario. He is shown then as an engineer.

H T Chesney is again almost certainly Henry Thomas Chesney as I there are records of him existing in Galt

Here are some images of the menu and a photograph I believe was taken very shortly after graduation

    https://imgur.com/a/udr5rWy

The photograph only shows 24 individuals. I know the course was split into two flights C and D, so I am assuming this is one of them. My Grandfather (helpfully?) marked himself on the back row second from the right.

If the photo link doesn't work let me know and I will have another go at it

Edit Having checked his log book he was 'D' Flight

    Hi Chris,

Iíve been working on a Course 58, 4 SFTS Saskatoon 20/6/42 to 9/10/42, like you I have a copy of the menu of the graduating class, plus a bit more. If you want to contact me on harleyDOT158ATbigpondDOTcom replace the DOT & AT with the usual.
I might be able to help.

    Cheers,

    John.
