RODDA, Cecil Frank - Air Fitter - FX. 77253 - ADM 104 records that he was killed in an accidental bomb explosion.
BLACK, William - Air Fitter(O) - FX.77318 HMS Newcastle - ADM 104 records that he was also killed in an accidental bomb explosion. One entry records his ship as HMS Avenger, and place of birth as Newcastle, and the other has his ship as HMS Newcastle. His death was reported in the Dundee Courier of March 25th 1940, which recorded that he was from Forfar.
The Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that they were both killed at 6.15 p.m. at RNAS Hatston.
