Default Master Bomber required, Calais September 20th 1944

    Hi,

Looking to identify the Master Bombers for a daylight raid on Calais on the late afternoon of September 20th 1944. There was two AP's, 6A and 6B, M/B on 6A call sign Mamba1, 6B Nortgate 1.

    Any pointers welcome.

    Thank you.

Out of interest, was he the M/B on the operation against Calais on September 26th 1944 also ?

    Kind regards

    35 Squadron ORB shows:

L Whetham (Long Master Bomber) and AHE Welch (Deputy), LD Leicester (Master Bomber) and CW Bromley (Deputy) for Calais 20th September (four aiming points are listed 6a, 6b, 6c and 6d)

Also, in response to your e-mail, it shows J Forde (Master Bomber) and CW Bromley (Deputy) for Calais Operation on 28th

    Hope this helps

    Regards
