Hello,

I do not know if this has been discussed on the forum before but what was the details that were supposed to have been on page 89 ?
Page 88 ends with details on Oxford I L4569.
On page 89 there is the end of a sentence in regards to L4569. The rest of the page is blank.
So is some text missing ?

For the answer to your question, go to the index between pages 663-704 and match up the losses on 01/04/1940 and 02/04/1940. Doesn't seem to be any entries missing.

Of course, if Colin (or the printer) missed a few, they might very well not be indexed at all.

Could it be something to do with the printers or proof editing ?
Same thing on page 215, 259,.

It's the nature of the beast! After publishing the below title, Colin found a lengthy section had been omitted. He corrected that oversight with an addendum:

ADDENDUM. Following the publication of this book, it was found that there had been a mistake in the proofing of the book's layout. This resulted in the printed index being incomplete. A total of 400 index records had been omitted and these started with Oxford aircraft and then through other types until Tiger Moths, when the correct listing was restored. The missing index records have been reconstituted and are presented as an insert.

Happens to the best of them! If you doubt me, take a look at the following:
