    Default Lancaster DV333, 576 Sqn, UL-C2 - Stettin, 06 Jan 1944 - Looking for info please

Could anyone please provide me with the following info on Lancaster MkI DV333, 576 Sqn UL-C2
(Crew is known including the second dickie pilot so don't need any crew details or details of its ops with 460, 103 or 576).
Took off from Elsham 0005hrs. Downed Stettin 06 Jan 1944.

    QUESTIONS:
Possibly shot down by nightfighter? ANY DETAILS? NIGHTFIGHTER REPORTS?
Came down near Pasewalk, Germany. SPECIFIC LOCATION OD CRASH SITE?
Code when with 460 Sqn, RAAF? AR-?
Code when with 103 Sqn? PM-?
Any photos of this aircraft with any of her three Squadrons would be hugely appreciated!!!!

    Many thanks chaps!!!

    Hi Matt,

According to Theo Boiten’s Nachtjagd Combat Archives they were shot down by Lt Herman Stock of 12./NJG3 for his 4th victory, north west of Stettin at 04.11hrs. Lt Stock survived the war with 4 night victories and 4 day victories.
A mate of mine looks after the records for 460 Sqn I’ll check with him to see if he knows the letter codes.

    Cheers,

    John.

There's a document in the service file of R179831 Sgt Nelson Alexander Dixon, RCAF, written by 1464573 Sgt Leslie H. Kirkpatrick on 11 January 1945:

Sgt Suffolk (F/Eng) has told me he saw W/O Larsen lying in front of the main spar and it appeared he had been killed when the aircraft was struck amidships. I, myself, did not see this; but could see the aircraft was burning fiercely around W/O Larsen's position, and believe him to have been killed before the aircraft finally crashed
    Regards,

    Dave

    Hi Matt,

My mate who looks after 460 Sqn records has got back to me. He says that when DV333 arrived at 460 Sqn on 3/11/43 it was give the letter codes AR-O and did it’s first operation to Düsseldorf on 3/4 November 1943 with that letter code. It did it’s second Op under the same letters on 10/11 November 1943 to Modane which was aborted after 2 hours due to technical failures.
After a change from ‘B’ flight to ‘C’ flight. DV333 changed its letter codes to AR-K2 for an attack on Berlin on 18/19 November 1943. DV333 was then posted away from 460 after this operation.

Should you want copies of the ORB feel free to contact me on harleyDOT158ATbigpondDOTcom replace the the DOT & AT with the usual.

    Cheers,

    John.

    Matt,
Also coded 'K2' at 103 Sqn for two sorties on Berlin 11/43, plus one failed to take off, all with the O'Neill crew. I have a note that the aircraft crashed N.E. of Viereck which is N.W.of Stettin.
    Regards, Mark.
