Default 8 May 1941 English Channel combat

An Admiralty 16 Group 11 Group memo reports an ME109 down into the sea Dungeness 1520hrs
The Luftwaffe dispatched a Seaplane with escort.
An RAF HSL was attacked by MEs 1655hrs
11 Group dispatched aircraft and around 1745hrs engaged the MEs reporting nine down.
I am having trouble establishing the Luftwaffe losses here, dip checking 11 Group ORBs I have not been lucky at all.
Anyone any ideas, the 8 May 1941 was the tail end of the heavy bombing over the UK but I am not getting very far in establishing any detail.
Thanks in advance for any guidance.

    Colin,

you may have already seen this. 'RAF Fighter Command Losses of WW Two' part two, Foreman lists 8 Bf 109s prob or destroyed by 609S in The Channel from 17.40 and another two by 92S in the Folkestone area 17.30. It lists the RAF claimants, if you need a transcript please shout.
Perhaps not enough detail for your purposes, but a start.

    Dave.
I dont have that reference book so if I can take you up on the offer, thank you very much, the transcript will be most welcome. At first I thought 8 Me109s was a likely exaggeration, I can delve into combat reports big thank you.

    Thanks to Dave.
It appears the strength of response by the Luftwaffe may have been due to a renown pilot whos identity would be interesting to know....
P/O Armstrong 74 Sqd shot down a most likely suspect off Dungeness at 1530hrs and fits the time sequence.
The combat reports of 609 Sqd do indeed confirm the action and success by the Spitfires.
609 Sqd were deployed as a result of the attack against the RAF HSL which caused loss of life presumably protecting the downed Luftwaffe pilot.
