Audax K7357 of 6 FTS Forcelanded in a Hailstorm and overturned 27.10.1936 - A picture of it is in Somerset Guardian of 30th Oct 1936 where it mentions the Pilot as being F/O then P/O R D Pape attached to "RAF Netheravon" he had slight wounds to his face and was taken to Frome hospital
I wonder if anyone can ID "R D Pape" - I wonder if he was at 6 FTS or a Sqn at Netheravon or even doing a cross Country exercise while at 6 FTS
The plane was repaired and was abandoned while lost on night navex Bhiwani, 64 miles WNW of Delhi 14.11.41
