    Default Wilson Henfrey Sgt 350915

    Can anyone assist please. I am researching the above who died in service on the 26/10/44. He is buried at home in the local church at Deeping St. James. He has a CWG headstone. I would really like to establish the cause of death and what his service career was. Is there any way I can do this?

    Thanks

    Pop his service number into the search box at the top of this screen and you get two old threads

    Hello

    The Boston Guardian of November 8th 1944 lists some local deaths, including:

    Deeping St. James - Oct. 26, in Church-street, Wilson Henfrey, 52.

    The 1939 Register has a Kate M. Henfrey* living at 142 Church Street, Deeping St. James, so looks like he died at home?

    His brother John Henfrey was living at number 141 Church Street with his wife Olive Edith Henfrey.

    * see: https://www.cwgc.org/find-records/fi...SON%20HENFREY/

    You can order his death certificate from the GRO: https://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/

    Regards

    Thanks Guys. Just come back to this so sorry for the delay in responding. I know he was Tank Corps (he was commissioned) in WW1 and will get a copy of his service papers. It is interessting he did not commission WW2. Would like more details of his RAF service career. Can this be obtained anywhere?
