967518 Sgt JA Cumming - I cant find his names

Gents, I have searched AIR78, more than once, and havent managed to find this chap, I'm sure I didnt miss him and I have tried Cumming and Cummins without luck. Has anybody noted him please, he completed a tour as Rear Gunner with 630 squadron and is one of 19 chaps I am unable to properly identify. Any help would be very much appreciated.

There is a definite possible maybe??
967518 is in the Block 965000-1149977, RAFVR, issued at Padgate 01-Sep-39 to 31-Mar-41.
Mathematically his number would have been issued very early (practically in the queue waiting for the doors to open!!) in the period. Jonny may have a better analogue date?
Let it be assumed that he was 18 when he Enlisted. This would put his DoB no later than 1921?
FREEBMD (only England & Wales, remember) has a John A Cumming registered in Q4 1920 Hackney 1b 761 (MMS Swift).
A John H Cumming m. Florence M Swift Q3 1918 (Reg Hackney 1b 815). John A seems to have been an only child?
I’m not saying this is your man – but I think the circumstantial evidence must elevate him to the POSSIBLE level?

Closest I could see in Air 78 was CUMMING James McEwan 967494.

Thank you Simon, yes I saw him, it's SO very close isn't it, but as the service number can be found twice in F540's many months apart I reckon it is likely to be correct and must assume that AIR78 is missing his card. Many thanks for your help.

Peter, I believe that you must be right, I just wish I could prove it. Your help is appreciated as always.

So I think we have the correct John A 'Jack' Cummimg (from Canada) died 20/06/1992 born 1920 As says Rear Gunner in Lancaster Bomber (i.e. 630 Sqn) - The Obit suggests he was from canada
