Hello
I confirm Gordon MacDonald TURNBULL 748060 (Mac and not Mc on his PoW questionnaire). Born 25 Septembre 1914, home address in Edinburgh.
Can someone confirm Malone for Palmer ? It looks more like Maloney in his PoW questionnaire. or even Mallory ? handwriting can be hard to read sometimes.
Joss
I think his PoW Record is wrong Scotlands People has
GORDON MCDONALD TURNBULL
M
1914
685/6 906
Morningside
and Air 78
Gordon McDonald Turnbull 748060 1937 Royal Air Force
Kenneth Molony Palmer

Thanks Paul for the correct spelling of Palmer's middle name.
I think some of the forms of the PoW questionnaires were prepared in advance, by clerks, and not always written by the people concerned themselves. Hence the Mac/Mc difference here. I only have the front page of the questionnaire, not the third one with the signature, which may have been a good clue.
There's a "fighter" which has been added on line 3, which is distinctively a different writing, and also "approx" by the same person on line 5. I presume it was added / corrected by Turnbull himself.
When it will be possible to visit TNA for foreigners, I'll try to put that PoW questionnaire on my wish list.
Regards
Joss
