PS Apparently first entry in AIR 76/203/221 is dated 1924 and final one 1935 but he was definitely serving in RAF in WW1
AIR 76/203/221
He has a code on the top 7/121 of AIR 76/203/221 i.e like Series 7 Number 121 - The dash is large and separate:

RAFO
Flt. Lt. (temp.) granted the rank of Flt. Lt.

RAFO
Commission resigned.
Flt. Lt. R. HALL ( 07121.) retaining
the rank of Sqn. Ldr. 9th June 1945
I think there was a number of series - 1 2 3 etc and people were allocated a number in the Series based on something, like name or seniority and this numbering sequence became their service number so 7 /121 became 07121

Hit or Miss? Tried two in 3000 series and one in 7000 series - did not have anything on them.
BEARDSWORTH, IVELAW-CHAPMAN AND GEMMEL HJ
Yes Very much hit and miss - But NOW I know what to look for and I will look - I think the 'Art' is a an WW1 officer who left the service in the Mid 1920's to early 1930 but after 1920/1921/1922
AULIFF Harry F/O 16.09.22 To Class C
Flying Officer Harry Auliff died while still in the Reserve on Sunday, 2nd September 1928; his funeral was held five days later
6/193 -- 06193 AIR-76-15-72
That Number fits approx. to where he should be
PROCKTER Henry William F/O 16.09.26 Relinquished
8/58 -- 80058 AIR 76/413/111
again a very good Approx of where he should be

PILKINGTON, Christopher, F/L, AFC (RAFO) - Died 29 August 1934 at Herts and Beds Hospital.
"Of Pneumonia" Source AIR 76/404/229
Service record 8/40 = Service Number 80040 which is a match for those around him...
Another one AIR 76/266/158 William JONES 7/187 = 07187 which makes him
John Whitworth JONES ( 07185)
???? 07186
William JONES (07187)
Owen John Frederick Jones-Lloyd ( 07188)
OK from 1922 Dec AFL I have looked at who could be 07186 and it is Kenneth Foxcroft Jones
I looked at all F/O and then the date of entry into RAF and RANK and made a educated guess - He was an F/O in April 1918 and then by Named Order - Not exact science but I think close
