    PARKER, James Leslie 1155600 2 A.O.S. & B.G.S. - the Newcastle Evening Chronicle of December 23rd 1942 reported the following:

    Mrs. W. Parker, of Tinkers Terrace, Castle Dene, has received word that her son, Corporal James Leslie Parker, died in the Provincial Hospital, Port Elizabeth, South Africa, on December 15, as a result of a car accident.

    Parker was with 42 School at the time. The accident was a hit and run incident

    William George Thomas Pottle 1265957, attached to RAF Eastchurch, died of injuries sustained in a road accident on Watling Street , Gillingham on October 2nd when he stopped to died the defective rear light on his RAF crash tender and was hit by a motorcycle ridden by Peter Wjithead of Rainham. Admitted seriously ill to Rochester hospital, he died there of his injuries

    Sydney Maurice Nethaway 1423720 , attached to Number 9 Recruits centre, died in Gourock of self inflicted injuries
