    THOMPSON is reported in The Yorkshire Post and Leeds Intelligencer on Monday 19 June 1944, page 6 to have died as follows:
    'A Guiseley man, L.A.C. Cyril Thompson, whose wife lives Bingley Road, Menston, has died the result of an accident his R.A.F. station. While playing football he tripped over a wire and fell heavily on stake protruding from the ground, sustaining fatal injuries'

    JOHNSON, Charles William - AC1c - 1034617 - the National Probate Calendar record that he died at the Base Hospital, Beverley.

    YUILE, Peter McCoil - AC1c - 1349182 - the Statutory Deaths Register on the Scotland's People website records that he died at 4.55 p.m. at the Emergency Hospital, Lennoxtown, due to chronic pulmonary TB.

    Iain Douglas Mackay 55520 , A PILOT and described as such on CWGC but not in this database, and attached to 74 OTU, died in a flying accident when Hurricane IIC BP 339 crashed in Palestine North

    Frederick Charles Warwick Sweetser 155526 , attached to Number 511 FRU , was admitted dangerously ill to Cambridge military hospital, Aldershot on 6 June suffering from a compound fracture of the right leg sustained when he stepped on a pavement into the path of an RAF vehicle, dying the following day

    Aircraftman 2nd Class Thomas Henry VALE (1522095) of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve

    1944-06-07 .

    Thomas Henry Vale – RAF - his
    squad was based on the coast of
    North Africa. So during hot days
    the men used to land on the
    beach and cool down in the sea.
    Unfortunately Thomas was
    drowned on one such excursion.

    Saying that this below on record so why still unaccounted marker ?

    Circumstances of Death: drowned while bathing in the sea near Tocra a/f. (via Russell Guest) Thomas Henry VALE is one of the 4.32% of the airmen from the Second World War, whose cause of death is not known. Can you add details on how he died?
