The following came from the 2 AGS ORB.

May 30th 1943, “Received a message from the Police Station, Ardersier that the body of an airman had been washed up on the seashore between Fort George and Nairn. The body was later identified as 1198740, LAC Hill, D.E. from R.A.F. Station, Evanton, and his death was presumed to have taken place on 5/Mar/43 and was due to drowning. His left foot was severed, but no other injuries were apparent on external examination.”
