Thanks 'hawkeye' Dennis for excellent info on LACEY. Agree that he may have been on the Tiger Moth N9150 of 1 GTS.
    Regards,
    Henk.

    Henk,
Can confirm that Orton, Gearing, Cohen & Woodward were on Blenheim Z6350 of 5AOS. The actual place of the crash is a 329m hill 5k South East of Tayinloan on the Kintyre Peninsula. Not sure if the aircraft was using the range at Tayinloan at the time.
Small pieces are still visible on the hill.
The Mull of Kintyre starts around 25km further down the Peninsula near Macrhihanish and is the scene of many shipping and aircraft accidents.
Orton is buried at Douglas, Isle of Man.
    Gearing at Wallasey, Cheshire.
Cohen at Golders Green Jewish, Middlesex.
    Woodward at Surbiton, Surrey.
    Regards,
    Alan.

Thanks Alan. Crew and aircraft known in my files; amended now with more specific location of the crash location.

That explains the slightly odd looking place name for crew on the death register. I looks like Laginloon, West Kintyre.

I had thought it might be Largiebaan which is south of Macrihannish (despite the map ref I've got for the site being much further north).
